Bioderma Sensibio H2O Make-up Removing Solution (16.90 $/229 kr for 500 ml) is the french cult-classic cleansing water that started the whole micellar water hype. It’s marketed as a no rinse, micellar water solution that gently removes make up and dirt without stripping your skin of it’s natural oils. It has a soothing, hypoallergenic formula which is great for those with sensitive skin.

This bottle comes with a pump and I bought it at a pharmacy here in Sweden (Lloyds). It is probably one of the most expensive micellar waters out there, but in my experience it’s also the best one. I’ve tried the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleasing Water All-in-1 Cleanser which is supposed to be a cheaper version, but I couldn’t stand that one because it smelled a bit strange and it left residue on my face after each use. I threw that bottle away after 3 months.

I was a bit hesitant about getting the Bioderma Sensible H2O because of my bad experience with the Garnier one. But I’m glad I caved and purchased it because they are nothing alike. Unlike the Garnier one, this one doesn’t smell at all and it actually feels like I’m cleansing my face with water because it doesn’t leave my skin feeling like I have left over products on my face, my skin actually feels clean afterwards. I use the micellar water after I’ve cleaned my face with my foaming cleanser and Mia2.

– Removes make up easily (not waterproof mascara)
– No fragrance
– Leaves skin feeling clean and fresh (no left over residue)
– Comes with a pump

– Expensive

All in all? I find this to be a great cleansing solution to use after my foaming cleansers. It removes the dirt they didn’t manage to get. Having added this to my skin care regimen, I now feel like my skin is a lot cleaner at night. Using a lot of make up everyday I sometimes feel like my skin isn’t as clean as I would want, even after using two cleansers. This is also a great and easy way to clean my face in the morning to remove dirt and sebum. Will I purchase this again? Yes, yes I would.
