Lately, I’ve been on this never-ending journey to perfect skin. I’ve tried so many different creams and serums, and so far, the only holy grail beauty product I’ve found is my beloved Clarisonic Mia2. I’ve been scouring the internet for the next must-try beauty products, and I came across the Pixi Glow Tonic. And honestly, with that name I just had to try it.
Price? This face toner is quite expensive to be honest, it set me back 299 SEK which is a whole lot of money for a toner. Let me give you a comparison, my favorite high end toner is from Clarins and that one costs me 199 SEK. So this toner better be working miracles. But does it?
No. Well, at least not for me. I actually haven’t noticed any difference in my skin between using this toner and my favorite drugstore one from Nivea. You use this up quite fast, this will last you maybe two to two and half months, tops. I haven’t noticed any of that exfoliation it claims to do, but it does clean my face really well. I still break out just as much as I did before so honestly, this feels like a waste of money for me. Lastly, does it give me that glow that we’re all searching for? No. This Glow tonic does not make my skin glow at all, so for me, that name is very misleading.
+ Cleans face very well
– Does not leave my skin feeling exfoliated.
– Does not give me that promised Glow.
– Uses up really fast, so a bottle of this wont last you long.
All in all? Well, you could say that I’m glad I’ve tried it, but I will not be repurchasing this again. I will probably continue to use my trusted Nivea toner and if I want to spruce things up a bit I’ll probably go back to the Clarins Water Purify One-step Cleanser.
