I’ve decided to do a ’Best of 2016’ series.Yes, it’s probably a little late. But hey, it’s better late than never, right?

2016 was an exciting year. A lot happened, both good and bad, but mostly good. Personally for me it was one of the best years I’ve had in a while. I switched jobs and finally started to work as a real litigation lawyer, I bought my first apartment and traveled to both New York and Brazil. I made new friends and had fun with my old ones. But most importantly, me and my family are all healthy and well.

When it comes to my favorite hobby, beauty and make up, I feel like I’ve been exploring and diving deeper into the world of skin care. I feel like I say that every year, but I’ve never been one to focus much on because I’ve always had great skin, but I feel like for each year I grow older, the more interested I become.

KIEHL’S | Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque
I bought at Macy’s during my New York trip. I’ve been loving it ever since. I does minimize the appearance of my pores and helps clear up my skin from Acne. I’ve been using this masque religiously about 2-3 times a week and I love how it makes my skin feel fresh and supple. My best friend used some the night before her wedding, a bit risqué since she’s never used it before, but she loved the results!

SEPHORA | Mud Mask purifying & Mattifying
This is a cheaper dupe for the GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment ( the white one) and I must say, it’s a great mud mask. It’s not exactly up to par to the SuperMud, the GlamGlow one is still better, but If you’re on a budget this is a great alternative!

GLAMGLOW | Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment
I’ve been loving this mask. It’s honestly a must have. I can’t be without it during the cold winter months and I always have to have a small jar with me when I travel. I don’t have dry skin, but I can’t be without it. It’s very expensive, yes. But the jar has lasted me a little more than a year. It smells like toffee and coconut. I feel a little like I’m in the tropics when I use it. My favorite way to use it is as a overnight mask. I wake up feeling fresh and plump.

CLARISONIC | Mia2 Face Sonic Cleansing
This is a favorite from 2015. But, as long as it’s still working it will always be in my favorites. This brush is what started my skin care transformation.

MURAD | AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
I don’t use this on a daily basis as it might be a little too harsh on my skin. But I use it once a week together with my Mia2 and oh. my. god. My face looks absolutely glowing and feels so clean! The tube is huge, so this baby is going to last me a while!

MURAD | Clarifying Cleanser
I use this everyday. I use it right after I’ve used my Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, to remove excess dirt and that oily feeling it leaves behind. It doesn’t completely remove blemishes, but it does help clear up my skin faster after I’ve had a zit.

GLAMGLOW | Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanse
This is another favorite of 2015. I bought it in december 2015 and it lasted me to december 2016. A whole year is not bad considering I used it everyday for about seven moths. I still find this to be a great clearer because it cleans and removes almost all makeup (not waterproof mascara) without having to rub like crazy. I might still buy another some day, but right now I’m pretty content just trying out what else it out there.

MARIO BADESCU | Drying Lotion
This little thing is both a hit and a miss. Sometimes it works wonders removing zits, and sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Yes, I’m aware you can’t use this on those cystic pimples, you know the ones that are like a bump under your skin. Still, it doesn’t always work. It’s still on my best of list because when it does work, it’s amazing.

EMBRYOLISSE | Lait Creme Concentré
Best moisturizer I’ve ever used. It’s moisturizes well and it’s not too greasy as I can still use this even though I suffer from oily skin. The best thing about it is it’s tacky consistency once you’ve applied it to your face. I do my base straight after applying this and it makes my foundation adhere better to my face and look less cakey. I can’t be without it.

KIEHL’S | Creamy Eye treatment with Avocado
This is by means not a miracle cream. I don’t wake up with magically smaller bags underneath my eyes. What I love about it, is it’s creamy consistency. I sometimes get dry skin under my eyes, and this helps to moisturize and keep my skin from feeling tight and dry when that happens.
