It’s finally May and we all know what that means, don’t we? Yes, summer is finally on it’s way (hopefully). With summer and warmer weather I tend to aim for a more bronzed, fresh look when applying make up. During the summer months I tend to reach more for my bronzers, blushes, colorful lipsticks and highlighters. Who doesn’t want that bronzed goddess look?
When it comes to blushes, I feel like coral peach blushes suit me best. Especially in the summer when I’m a bit more tanned. So, naturally my blush collection mostly consists of a lot of different coral peach shades. Let me guide you to my top 5 picks in the coral peach blush jungle.
- NARS Orgasm (30 $ for 4.8 g / 0.16 oz.)
This is a peachy pink, shimmery blush and a total cult classic. I think this is one of those blushes that everyone one has in their collection, and for a very good reason. If you don’t yet own this blush, you need to get it ASAP. This blush looks as good on pale skin as it does on darker complexions (however, I unfortunately don’t think it works for very deep skin tones). This is very shimmery blush and it scared me a little in the beginning, but I do prefer shimmery blushes over mattes because I feel like they give a beautiful glow to the skin.
- MAC | Peaches (23 $ for 6 g / 0.21 oz.)
Another cult classic that is a staple in every make up addicts collection. This is a sheertone blush from MAC is not shimmery like NARS’ Orgasm. It’s a matte blush that gives a very natural and subtle color to your cheeks. But it is buildable i f you’re looking for more color. This is the perfect blush for those of you who don’t like shimmery blushes.
- Benefit | California (24.50 $ for 5 g / 0.17 oz)
This is the newest blush from Benefit and launched just in time for summer. Looking at it, its understandable that they decided to launch it now. This is a beautiful sunny, golden, pink blush. I kept thinking it was called “California” at first, I obviously didn’t read the name properly. This blush is a bit more pigmented than both Orgasm and Peaches. The golden color in the middle gives your cheeks that prefect golden glow just in time for summer. This will look amazing on tanned skin. This is obviously a shimmery blush, though it will you a more subtle shimmery glow than Orgasm.
- Benefit | CORALista (24.50 $ for 8 g / 0.28 oz.)
This is one of my favorite blushes ever, and is probably the blush I’ve made the most damage to. I can definitely see myself hitting pan on this blush. That’s how much I love it. This is another shimmery coral pink blush that looks amazing on sun kissed cheeks (is it obvious that I love shimmery blushes yet?). This is another staple that you need in your collection. If I could only use two blushes (because one is simply not fair) for the rest of my life, it would be this blush and NARS’ Orgasm).
- Milani | Luminoso ( 8 $ for 3.5 g / 0.12 oz.)
A beautiful and popular drug store alternative. This is a baked blush that will give you that true orange peachy glow that’s perfect for summer. It lasts all day and just looking at it it’s understandable why so many people love this blush (especially for that price!).
